We understand that not every purchase will work out, and returns are sometimes needed. If an item does not work out, simply send it back to us with both the packing slip and return form enclosed in your package.
ALL RETURNED ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ONLINE STORE CREDIT ONLY, NO REFUNDS, NO EXCEPTIONS.
All sale and clearance items are FINAL SALE. Due to hygienic purposes, the following items will also be FINAL SALE, with NO EXCEPTIONS: jewelry, scarves, leggings, accessories, bandeaus, gift cards/certificates, handbags, bralettes, hats, hair accessories, eye wear, socks and undergarments. All holiday items will be non-returnable after the holiday has passed.
We do not offer exchanges, as we cannot guarantee the size you need will be in stock by the time we get your return back.
Online Store Credit
Please remember that returned items are available for online store credit only, no refunds, no exceptions.
If you were not satisfied with your order, please remember that we are also human and make mistakes, and we thank you for your grace if this happens to you!
Items must be returned within 15 days of receiving the order to receive online store credit only.
Anything that smells of smoke, perfume, has stains (i.e. make up or deodorant), animal hair, has been washed, worn, or damaged by you, will not be accepted as a return. All shoes must be returned in original box and placed inside an additional shipping box, with no sign of wear. Damage to the shoes box makes the item ineligible for returns. All returns must contain receipt/invoice.
Anything after 15 days will not be accepted, and you are responsible for the shipping costs to get the item back. Ship the item back via your shipping method of choice. If you choose not to pay shipping charges to get it back, after 30 days it will be donated to charity.
Please be careful opening packages, if you cut an item while opening your package, you will not be refunded, and we will not ship another item in its place.
We will inspect all items before shipping to ensure that they are in perfect condition for your use. If you believe you have received a defective item, you must contact us within 3 days to be eligible for replacement or online credit.
Items purchased online may be returned to the in-store boutique if receipt is presented with the return for ONLINE STORE CREDIT ONLY.
The Burlap Penguin reserves the right to refuse a return based on the above criteria.
Once we receive returns, they will be processed in 3-6 business days. THE BURLAP PENGUIN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SHIPPING COSTS, THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING COSTS.
You will receive an online credit of the amount of the item minus the shipping charges.
This credit will be placed on the customer account that was created at checkout. If you check out as a guest you will need to create a customer account in order to redeem a store credit.
Please note that all online store credits will expire after a year.
